Everyone likes a good cup of coffee in the morning!
There’s nothing like the thrill you get in the morning, when you feel the bitter taste of the dark liquid in your cup, and think about the new day ahead, and about all the hopes, and the new possibilities it presents.
But how much coffee should I drink? – the more you drink, the better your day gets?
What about its effects on my health?
In fact, how does drinking coffee affect my life?
How does coffee work?
Caffeine, the main substance in the coffee is a type of drug that promotes alertness. Caffeine can raise blood pressure, but might not have this effect in people who use it all the time. Caffeine increases energy metabolism throughout the brain – it activates noradrenaline neurons and seems to affect the local release of dopamine.
How is coffee beneficial for me?
Clinical research indicates that moderate coffee consumption is benign or mildly beneficial as a stimulant in healthy adults, with continuing research on whether long-term consumption reduces the risk of some diseases, although some of the long-term studies are of questionable credibility.(Wikipedia)
I love coffee, I could drink it all day!
Some people consider coffee to be a health drink, but like most foods, over indulging can cause side effects.Knowing the symptoms of caffeine and its long-term effects on your body may make you think twice about having that fourth cup of coffee: caffeine increases the amount of acid in your stomach and may cause heartburn or upset stomach.Drinking too much coffee may have negative impacts on our bodies, disrupting our optimal balance and hormones, and becoming a Chi inhibitor. Therefore, coffee is both good, and bad for us, and you can only try to keep a balance, not to pass the thin line between the beneficial, and the harmful effects of caffeine.
What is coffee, actually?
Coffee is a brewed drink prepared from roasted coffee beans, the seeds of berries from certain Coffea species. From the coffee fruit, the seeds are separated to produce a stable, raw product: unroasted green coffee. The seeds are then roasted, a process which transforms them into a consumable product: roasted coffee, which is ground into a powder and typically steeped in hot water before being filtered out, producing a cup of coffee (Wikipedia).
